 GPS-Photo link Software

GPS-Photo Link is software that maps your photos. The PC-based software links digital camera photos with the location where the photos were taken. The mobile version allows you to link digital photos with ArcPad field data. All you need is a digital camera and a GPS receiver. By synchronizing the time between the camera and GPS, the software is able to determine the latitude and longitude of the photo without physically connecting the camera to the GPS receiver. No wires needed! Or consider a camera with built-in GPS like the Ricoh 500SE. When you are back in the office, GPS-Photo Link allows you to analyze your photos along with other data you have collected within a GIS system; or simply create word or html reports to share the geotagged photos and maps between organizations. The software saves businesses time, money and eliminates the errors often introduced during tedious manual data entry.

GPS-Photo Link has two distinct Series. The GIS Pro Series is designed for users who wish to use advanced coordinate systems or include photos in professional mapping software such as ESRI’s ArcGIS. The Express Series is designed for users who wish to document where photos were taken but who will not include them in a professional mapping system. In the product descriptions below, features in italics are specific to that series. GeoSpatial Experts’ mobile version, GPS-Photo Link: ArcPad Edition allows users to instantly link their digital photos with ArcPad field data! Select any ArcPad layer and field to receive the photo. The software automatically moves photo to your ESRI Shapefile directory.

     GPS-Photo Link: GIS Pro Series

p1GPS-Photo Link: GIS Pro Series automatically links digital photographic images with GPS location and other attribute data. It uses the location data to accurately map the photographs in their correct locations for display on a digital map layer such as Google Earth or in a geographic information system (GIS) such as ArcGIS. Since 2001, the product has been popular among mapping professionals who want to quickly integrate geotagged photos into ArcGIS for further analysis or supporting documentation.

Features of GPS-Photo Link:
